Linda is calm, patient and understanding. She also has good humor and strong physical affection for Willy that she very often has to cover. Seeking an actress to be my scene partner for a Preliminary Audition for membership in the prestigious Actors Studio. Please live in New York City. Union or Non-Union. This is a 5-minute scene from the play "Death of a Salesman" between Willy and his wife, Linda. We will be performing it live, memorized, on the stage of the theater of the Actors Studio, with the judges in the audience, unseen by us. Note 1: Although you would not be considered for membership at this time - just I would be considered- this will be the very valuable experience of working emotionally and moment-to-moment on a strong, contemporary classic. And having your work seen by the Actors Studio judges is very worthwhile. Note 2: This is not for the MFA program - this is for the original, 78-year-old Actors Studio. Note 3: I'll be directing the scene.
